TTC – Health and Social Office Manager

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Health & Social, the Office Manager is responsible for providing financial and administrative support to the Director and Departmental office. The Office Manager is also responsible for overseeing the TFA and TFA Work Opportunity Program (WOP), supervising the TFA clerk, and providing supervision and direction to the TFA clients while on WOP.

Main Duties and Responsiblities:

  • Under the direction of the Director, manages the day-to-day finance and administrative activities of the Health & Social (H&S) Department to ensure an efficient and effective operation and employment of resources
  • Supports the TFA clerk to implement and administer TTC Case Management Practices in Temporary Financial Assistance;
  • Provides support in the financial management of the Department

Education:

  • Post-secondary course work in Business Administration, or a related field combined with several years’ experience working with First Nations governments;
  • Knowledge of TTC social structure, traditions, and cultural values;
  • Knowledge of government program requirements and specifically, First Nation government program requirements;
  • Knowledge of Federal and Territorial Government programs, regulations and procedures related to Health and Social departmental concerns;
  • Financial management skills;
  • Staff supervisory skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills,
  • Proficient in AIS;
  • Knowledgeable in the Temporary Financial Assistance Program

Conditions of Employment:

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality is a mandatory requirement
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Sign & agree to abide by TTC Health & Social Development Oath of Confidentiality & Code of Conduct
  • Willingness to become and maintain certification in basic first aid, CPR, AED and food safe
