DDC Committees and Working Groups

To help ensure DDC projects and investments are informed by local knowledge and have a meaningful community connection, this year we are establishing the new Community Projects Committee as well as multiple project-specific and/or sector-specific Working Groups.

About the Community Projects Committee

The CPC is a new volunteer committee that aims to help DDC identify and advance local projects, and works to identify sources and uses of funds, and build local partnerships that will be key to positive outcomes.

In the spirit of DDC’s community development mandate, ‘Community Projects’ refers to local volunteer-driven projects that help foster youth skills development and/or community well-being.

All community members are invited to participate in monthly meetings, held at the DDC Office and on Zoom. To join this committee, please send an email to our operations@ddc-teslin.com or you can stop by the DDC office at 6 Fox Street in Teslin to sign up.

Community Projects Committee vs. DDC Working Groups

So what’s the difference between the Community Projects Committee and DDC Working Groups? The primary objective of the Community Projects Committee is to help DDC identify local projects and partners that will can support youth and/or community well-being in the near (or distant) future, meanwhile DDC Working Groups are formed to support a specific project, program or sector when the project/initiative is in progress.

Please contact us at operations@ddc-teslin.com if you are interested in joining one or more DDC Committees or Working Groups in 2025:
