Job Summary:
Johnston Builders is seeking eager individuals who are ready to help and to dive into the world of construction as a labourer, carpenter’s helper, apprentice or carpenter. (NOTE: other trade scopes possible as well). You don’t need to have construction experience – just a good attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to keep things on track.
These positions will be based in Teslin and will support the Teslin Community Services Building Project. Both full time and part time positions are available.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll work closely with our site superintendent and site team to help keep things running smoothly. This includes:
- Helping and participating with safety requirements
- General housekeeping chores and clean up
- General onsite labor support with labor positions
- Typical carpentry tasks related to foundation and framing work suitable to your current skill set and experience with the opportunity to learn or progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone organized, reliable, and good at communicating
- Comfortable with being a team player and willing to learn new skills
- Curious, collaborative, and ready to take initiative
- A valid driver’s license is helpful
Don’t worry if you haven’t worked in construction before—we’ll train you. We are seeking an individuals who are eager to grow with us.
