Job Summary:
Johnston Builders is seeking an organized individual who is eager to learn and ready to dive into the world of construction as a Junior Project Coordinator. You don’t need to have construction experience – just a good attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to keep things on track.
This position will be based out of our Whitehorse office and will support the Teslin Community Services Building Project. A flexible or hybrid work setup may be available for the right person.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll work closely with our project managers and site team to help keep things running smoothly. This includes:
Helping with contracts, purchase orders, and paperwork
- Organizing project files and keeping things up to date
- Tracking changes and making sure the correct info gets to the right people
- Preparing and distributing meeting notes
- Visiting the job site now and then to see how things are going
- Supporting safety and quality tracking
- Learning about drawings, schedules, and the construction process
- Getting trained on project tools and software
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone organized, reliable, and good at communicating
- Comfortable with computers and willing to learn new tools
- Curious, collaborative, and ready to take initiative
- A valid driver’s license is helpful
Don’t worry if you haven’t worked in construction before—we’ll train you. We are seeking an individual who is eager to grow with us.
What You’ll Get:
- Salary: $50,000 – $65,000, based on experience
- Full benefits, including medical, dental, and vision (after a 3-month probationary period)
